Manchester City Vs Watford FA Cup Final Review

Just a few days after Pep Guardiola's man city side retain their premier league champions title, they would be facing watford on saturday in what would be guardiola's first FA cup final match, it promises to be an exciting game of course, afterall city are known for their attractive style of play.

Many would consider city to lift the trophy with relative ease come saturday but what are the talking points of this match.

Watford as seen this is season is no match for the big 6 (Man Utd, Man city, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool) losing 11 out of 12 matches (in both legs )against them, including an humiliating 5-0 defeat at anfield with their only win coming against tottenham at the early stages of the season. Asides that, their record against Guardiola's Man City is far from impressive having lost all six matches against Guardiola's city, conceding more than 4 goals on two occasions. Their last win against city was in fact 36 years ago.

Even their form towards the end of the 2018 - 2019 premier league season was a mess, taking just 4 points in their last 5 games.

Clearly Javi Garcia's side would have to tune in a performance of the highest of the highest quality if they are to defeat this blazing city who currently are on a 7 match winning streak in all competitions since losing against Tottenham in the champions league in early april.

Watford would have to be at their best on Saturday if they are to have a chance at snatching the FA Cup from Man City and would hope the likes of Gerard Deulofeu, Andre Gray, Captain Troy Deeney among others put on a superb display come Saturday.

Watford paved way to the FA Cup final with 5 wins out of 5 games and saw off the likes of Wolves, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and others. They have scored a total of 10 goals in the competition so far and conceded just 3.

A win for City would mean they would have won all three domestic cups thereby completing the domestic treble, in what has been an amazing season for the Manchester team.
